Dr. K. Duraivelu, Professor & Dean College of Engineering & Technology Vadapalani Campus SRM Institute of Science & Technology

Dr. K Duraivelu has a collective experience of over 27 years in teaching and industry. He is also a distinguished member at prestigious organizations like Institute of Engineers (India) (IE-I), Operational Research Society of India (ORSI), Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), and Member (Life) in Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA).

Mr. Kalidas, Asst. prof. in CSE department at IIT Tirupati.

Mr. Kalidas’ research focus is on theoretical and applied aspects of machine learning and artificial intelligence including in the domains of smart infrastructure, education technologies and bioinformatics. He did MS/Ph.D. in 2010 from IISc in the topics of algorithm development for large scale data analysis of molecular structures, for which he received a best thesis medal in the SERC department. Post Ph.D., he has been working in industry for about 7 years, starting with Samsung for 3 years, where he worked on the topics of smartphone data analytics, genomics and video stabilization, and then for about 4 years in Amazon as a machine learning scientist in the topics of advertisement recommendation and Kindle document layout analysis.
